How to Select the Perfect Lamp Online?

Things to consider:

1. Have an idea as to whether you need a functional lamp, ambience lamp or both.
2. Check the dimensions of the lamp. Make sure that you have a good idea of how big it is relative to where you plan to put it. Even if the lamp looks nice in the picture, it still may not fit your home if it is too big or small.
3. Check the maximum wattage of the lamp, as well as the material of the lampshade. With this information, you should have a good idea as to whether 1) it is a task lamp that will be your primary light source or an ambience lamp that provides warmth and subtly enhances the mood, and 2) if it provides the right amount of luminosity for the area that you plan to use it.
4. How will the lamp coordinate with the overall setting?  In addition to the above, you should take into consideration the color and style of your furniture and walls.

How to Clean your Lamp and Keep it in its Best Condition?

If cared for properly, your lamps can last a long time.

1. Avoid moisture; never wipe with a wet cloth and keep your lamps in dry locations at all times.
2. Avoid touching the frosted glass portion of your lamps and light bulbs with bare hands. Always use a clean cloth for handling. The oils on your hands can stain the material, affecting its frosted effect, and deposits from your fingerprints cause temperature  "hot spots" that will shorten the life of your light bulbs, especially "low voltage" halogen light bulbs (e.g. G4, G9).
3. For fabric lampshades, use a clean white dry cloth or clean duster for light dusting. Avoid direct sunlight since it can cause colors to fade.
4. For transparent glass lamps/lampshades, wipe gently using a soft cloth and any household glass cleaner.
5. For opaque glass and all metal parts, spray a small amount of lemon oil-based furniture polish to a soft white cloth and wipe gently.

Warnings & Safety

1. Remember to unplug your lamp before cleaning.
2. Do not touch or replace light bulbs if the lamp has been on for any period of time. Let it cool down first.
3. Do not use a higher wattage light bulb than what is recommended by the manufacturer.
4. Never leave low voltage (halogen) lamps turned on when you leave your home or cover them with clothes or paper.
5. Never pick up a lamp by its shade or cord. Hold your lamp by its body or base.
6. When the joints of your lamp seem slightly loose, do not immediately try to fasten by twisting.

First, check your assembly instructions to see if that joint is supposed to be fastened by turning. If not, you can damage the lamp, chip the paint or further loosen it. If it's not mentioned on the assembly instructions, don't hesitate to contact our customer service team with its model number and your purchase date.
